Kit Build Support

A kit gets the shed to your property. The next question is how you’ll get it built. We’ll help you work through the plans, delivery and support available, whether you’re arranging your own builder or asking about local installation.

WHAT WE WORK THROUGH

Know what help comes with your kit

Start with the part you need help with. Your quote will set out the included work and who is responsible for each stage.

Talk through the plans and the stage you’re at

For a kit supplied by Rural Built Co, speak with us about the plans and the next build stage. We’ll explain the support included in your order. Questions about footings, lifting or sheeting still need to follow the supplied engineering and installation requirements.

Plan access before delivery day

Access, unloading and a suitable place for the kit need to be agreed before dispatch. Delivery includes a written check-off against the bill of materials. Read the delivery guide for the full arrangements, and notify us in writing of any defects or shortages within seven days of delivery.

Ask about a local build package

Inside our Somerset build area, installation support is available selectively. Talk to us about the slab, frame and cladding work you need; we’ll confirm availability and the agreed package before you rely on it. If your kit comes from another supplier, ask us to review the plans and scope first.

A USEFUL FIRST CONVERSATION

You don’t need every detail worked out.

A rough idea is a good place to start. These details help us work out what to ask next.

Your town and the place you’re building

Start with the town or suburb and anything you already know about access, slope or the existing site.

What you need it to do

Tell us what needs cover, the work happening inside and whether you’re starting fresh or already have plans or a kit.

Where you want help

The whole build, the slab or support with your kit—tell us which parts you want to arrange and which you’d like us to discuss.

SHEDSAFE ACCREDITED

Confidence starts with the right specification.

Rural Built Co is ShedSafe accredited. The program independently reviews shed engineering design principles. For your shed, we work through the site, intended use and wind requirements so you can understand the specification behind the quote.

Already comparing a kit, or working out who will build it? Tell us your town, what you’re planning and which parts you want help with. If you already have plans or a kit quote, mention that when you enquire.
