Shed Slabs & Concreting

The slab needs to suit the shed above it and the work happening inside it. We bring the footprint, loads, levels and site access into the conversation early, so the concrete work is planned as part of your project.

WHAT WE WORK THROUGH

Get the concrete details sorted before the pour

Start with the part you need help with. Your quote will set out the included work and who is responsible for each stage.

Work from the shed design and intended loads

Vehicle access, machinery and stored materials affect the slab requirements. We work through the footprint and engineering with you so the specified formwork, reinforcement and concrete suit the agreed use.

Make room for preparation and drainage

Access, ground levels, preparation and drainage interfaces can change the job. We’ll discuss the site conditions and identify the included preparation and concrete work, along with any additional work that needs its own scope.

Coordinate the slab with the next stage

Set-out and connections need to match the shed plans. We coordinate the concrete package with the specified footprint and installation requirements, then agree timing for the next stage rather than rushing onto a fresh slab.

A USEFUL FIRST CONVERSATION

You don’t need every detail worked out.

A rough idea is a good place to start. These details help us work out what to ask next.

Your town and the place you’re building

Start with the town or suburb and anything you already know about access, slope or the existing site.

What you need it to do

Tell us what needs cover, the work happening inside and whether you’re starting fresh or already have plans or a kit.

Where you want help

The whole build, the slab or support with your kit—tell us which parts you want to arrange and which you’d like us to discuss.

SHEDSAFE ACCREDITED

Confidence starts with the right specification.

Rural Built Co is ShedSafe accredited. The program independently reviews shed engineering design principles. For your shed, we work through the site, intended use and wind requirements so you can understand the specification behind the quote.
